The Shrewsbury String Quartet has been playing together since 1997 and perform at at hundreds of weddings, memorial services, corporate events, and concerts each year in Philadelphia, Delaware and New Jersey. And we hope our familiarity with the course of events at weddings and our friendly, helpful approach will help your day run smoothly.
We offer a wide repertoire consisting of lighter classical selections, show tunes, Beatles and popular music.
Typical Wedding Ceremony music in Delaware, Philadelphia and New Jersey
We will start playing prelude music about a half hour before your ceremony starts as your guests start arriving. You may choose special selections for the mothers and grandmothers to be seated.
We will play processional music for the bridesmaids and special music for the bride to walk down the aisle. And we can also play special music during the ceremony, for a unity candle lighting ceremony, communion, etc.
As the bride and groom recess from the altar we will play special music and postlude music as your guests are leaving.

We can tailor your musical selections to fit your ceremony. Our musicians will work very closely with you to help you choose music that is perfect for you. And if there is music that you want that is not in our repertoire, we will do our best to find it for you.
However, if it is necessary to purchase sheet music or make a string quartet arrangement from a piano score there may be an additional charge.

If your venue requires your vendors to have Liability Insurance, we can provide them with a certificate naming them as an additional insured.
