Shrewsbury String Quartet playing Spring by Antonio Vivaldi

The Shrewsbury String Quartet has been playing together since 1999 and performs at over 200 weddings and corporate events each year.

We offer a wide repertoire consisting of lighter classical selections, show tunes, Beatles and popular music. We have an extensive repertoire of liturgical music from the Catholic, Protestant and Jewish faiths. The musical selections can be tailored to fit your ceremony.

We get many compliments on the way we sound  and we hear from a lot of brides  that they appreciate how easy we are to work with.

Your wedding day is the most anticipated event of your life. We enjoy playing weddings and will try to make your day extra special.  We understand how stressful it can be to organize your wedding and know that  untold thought and preparation are directed toward, and centered on your special day.

No one thing provides more romance, ambiance, intimacy and elegance for a wedding ceremony than the addition of the Shrewsbury String Quartet. We provide a wonderful background and set an elegant and romantic mood, allowing for conversation among guests, require no amplification, and will enhance both formal and informal occasions.

We are pleased to welcome same sex couples.

One of the most frequent complaints that we hear from brides is how difficult it is to get in contact with some other contract musicians and that it takes an unreasonably long time for some of them to answer emails or return phone calls.

We pride ourselves in answering emails and returning phone call immediately. If you do not hear back from us within a few hours, we probably did not get your message so please try again.

Tony, I never got to thank you for playing during our ceremony! I apologize – things went right back to being crazy after the wedding :) work, upcoming holidays… Thank you so much, you were great! The reason I actually remembered is someone who is getting married soon called me and asked how to get in touch with the quartet that was playing at our wedding! :) I will give them your info! Thanks again and happy upcoming holidays! Natasha
